Event Objectives

The main objectives of the celebration were:

  1. To pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.
  2. To make students aware of their contribution to India’s freedom struggle and nation-building.
  3. To inculcate the values of truth, non-violence, discipline and simplicity among students.
  4. To encourage students to develop a sense of patriotism and social responsibility.
  5. To motivate students to follow the ideals of responsible citizenship.

Proceedings

The programme commenced with the floral tribute to the portraits of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri by the dignitaries, faculty members and students.

The faculty members highlighted the life, principles and contributions of both national leaders. The significance of Gandhi Ji’s message of truth and non-violence and Shastri Ji’s ideals of simplicity, honesty, discipline and dedication to the nation were explained to the students.

Students also participated enthusiastically in the programme and expressed their thoughts on the lives and teachings of the two great leaders.

Outcomes

The celebration concluded with a message that the ideals and values of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri continue to inspire generations. The programme successfully created awareness among students about the importance of peace, truth, simplicity, discipline, patriotism and responsible citizenship.

The celebration was conducted successfully with the active participation of the Principal, faculty members, non-teaching staff and students of Tulaskar Institute of Science and Technology, Hinganghat.
